Enforcing corporate policy, compliance regulations and litigation requests are a growing aspect of a system administrator’s duties, requiring email retention, retrieval of related messages and delivery of all relevant communications.
Retention policy.
A predetermined archiving policy that outlines the length of time to retain email messages, whether to comply with government regulations or to make these emails avialable in the event of a critical outage of your primary email systems. In the event of an email outage, access to your emails based on your retention policy are avialable online via an internet browser. Email flow is also allowed and new emails would continue to flow into your mailbox. Once your primary email system comes back online, your email will flow as normal. The solution would continue to store you email for the length of time specificed by your rentention policy.
Roles
Using role-based administration, access privileges are organized in three tiers and can be designated to the administrator, auditor and end user by integrating with Active Directory to immediately classify user permissions.
Setup Configuration
The process is to capture both external and internal emails via SMTP. To capture messages sent from external Internet users, you can leverage the journaling capabilities of the solution to copy messages to BlueFire. To capture messages sent from inside your organization, you can configure internal email clients to use BlueFire as their SMTP relay that would be placed in front of your internal email server.
